In probably his coolest move to-date, Snoop Dogg is making an enormous donation to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in response to Jimmy Kimmel’s emotional monologue about his ill newborn son.
“This is your show Jimmy, but I wanted to surprise you with something special,” Snoop said, “I saw you speak on your son as far as his health. So I wanted to come out here and make a donation to the hospital. We just want to make sure that we’re looking out for the next kid that may need that help.”
Snoop Dogg’s donation is going to help hundreds of ill children receive the care they need for injuries and illnesses they’re battling. It’s a great example of how we can come together alongside families dealing with difficult circumstances like a serious illness to build a sense of community and goodwill. For many, the financial burden of caring for a sick child is an immense strain on their own health and wellbeing – let alone the stress of having a sick child in the first place. No one should have to deal with that. Donations like this make a world of difference. This is exactly what the world needs more of right now.
