9. Landon asked Karen Grassle to change her name
When they cast Grassle, her stage name was Gabriel Tree. Landon thought her name was a distraction, too unusual to match the look and feel of the show so he asked her to change it back to her real name. What’s even crazier than the request is that she actually did it.
