6. Al Gore

There is a very good reason the IPCC awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 to the former vice president of the United States, Al Gore. His documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, which started as a small project to keep himself busy, ballooned igniting an international debate about climate change. It’s part of the reason there was a Paris Climate Accord. In 2017, the sequel, An Inconvenient Sequel, talks about how far things have come. Spoiler alert: the news ain’t good.
