9. Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen is the woman who hardly needs a second name. She may be more famous for dancing than Shakira, but she’s made a name for herself as a humanitarian as well. In fact, the people have noticed. In 2016, the People’s Choice Awards donned her with the Favorite Humanitarian Award. That and, oh nothing, President Obama awarded her the most prestigious civilian award, the Medal of Freedom in 2016, for coming out as a lesbian before it was safe to do so.
