Vienna, Austria
Have you heard of Mozart? You know, Wolfgang Amadeus. Perhaps you’ve heard of Johannes Brahms, Franz Shubert or Ludwig Van Beethoven? These are only a few of the world-class composers who once called Vienna their home. That’s only the tip of the Vienna Sausage. The largest city in Austria, the City of Music as some call it, is also the City of Dreams. It’s not because people go there to chase their dreams, but because it’s the home of Sigmund Freud. Don’t let all that name dropping fool you. This isn’t Hollywood. Vienna is home to many classic forms of architecture, Romanesque, Baroque, but also well-integrated modern forms. Some tourists will go to Vienna to see the Hundertwasserhaus architecture, a colorful abstraction of modern architecture. Others will go to participate in one of the 400 or so balls hosted every year. Yes, balls, as in tuxedos, dresses, and moving orchestrations.
