13. Agua Calientes—Machu Picchu Pueblo, Peru
The best part about Agua Calientes, known as Machu Picchu Town by locals, is that one gets more than just a hot bath. In this hilltop town, travelers are a hike away from the famous Machu Picchu ruins. You take a train from the city of Cuzco to get to Machu Picchu Town, where ancient Peruvian culture clings to the side of a mountain like a barnacle. The springs themselves are a ten-minute walk out of town, a perfect place to kick it after hiking to the ruins.
