Add Every One of These Panoramic Hot Springs of the World to Your Bucket List

20. San Antonio Hot Springs—San Antonio, New Mexico

There are two things one must know about San Antonio Hot Springs: There are naked people, and they don’t allow booze. Other than that, it’s a beautiful spot to forget the world. Getting there is a bumpy five-mile drive and half-mile hike off the beaten path, but once you get there, whoa, Nelly! It’s purty. There are three pools, varying in temperatures from hottest at the top pool, to cooler at the bottom one. The views are endless green, boxed by rock walls rising up from the Earth like turrets.

19. Umpqua Hot Springs Trail—Idleyld Park, Oregon

Rain, snow or sleet, the springs in Ideyld Park, Oregon are always open. There are three main pools and plenty of naked people lounging about, but these springs offer a toilet with your spectacular views; not from the toilet, of course. Despite the remote location, buried in the forests of Oregon, one can drive most of the way to Umpqua. There’s a short hike in from where one parks the car and another uphill hike for the best views, but all worth it.
