Sure, everyone can travel, if we count going to the cabin for a long weekend. Cabins are nice, but there’s a whole world of epicness out there you’ll never see if you’re content to drink cheap beer while slapping mosquitos on your neck. Face it, cabins are stinky. You deserve more. You should dip your toes in the cool blue water. You should see all the places that history happened.

Cinque Terre, Italy
Pronounce it “chin-kwa-ter-rah.” The Italian word cinque translates to five in English. That because there are five seaside villages in this UNESCO World Heritage site: Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso al Mare, Riomaggiore, and Vernazza. Laid into the hillside, multi-colored terra-cotta buildings perch in craggy views like they grew there. There are no major roadways through the Cinque Terre, only rural roads into the towns and the milk trains that run through every day. One could plan a whole vacation around only these five towns; touring the vineyards, exploring the cobblestone alleyways, eating in the trattorias, and meeting the locals. There is a hiking path connecting the towns for the those who like a little exercise. For those who don’t, there are ferries.
