10. Mom to the Rescue

Ian McGreevy was just like any other 8-year-old. He was playing baseball with his Little League team when the ball hit him in the chest, knocking him to the ground and sending him into cardiac arrest.
Before anyone else reacted, Maureen Renaghan leaped into action. She rushed onto the field and performed CPR on Ian. After about four breaths, she said she felt his heartbeat again, and he rolled over and spat up. By the time the ambulance arrived he was conscious, and since the incident, he’s made a full recovery.
