Two Paramedics Who Shoveled Their Patient’s Driveway
In Greenfield, Nova Scotia, Canada, two paramedics responded to a call for a man suffering chest pains while shoveling snow. After dropping him off at the medical center, they talked about the conditions and the unfinished driveway waiting for the man after the clinic released him. So, they stopped at the station, picked up some shovels and went back to his place. About 30 minutes later, they’d cleared the driveway. One of the men, Tom Konieczka, took the praise they received in stride. “Anybody else in our department and at any other fire department across the country probably has done something like this or is doing something like that right now,” Konieczka said to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
