Why don’t adults play? Getting outside to kick a ball around, playing a board game, or taking time out of our day to create something new with no expectations or boundaries has a huge impact on our mental health. “Adults need to play because so much of our life is utilitarian,” the University of South Alabama’s Catherine O’Keefe explained in an interview. “We need to reconnect with the things of our lives that ground us in who we really are and why we like our lives”.
