Meeting President Johnson
There are several scenes where Gump interacts with people who’ve long since passed on. In one scene, he stands in front of President Lyndon Johnson to receive a medal. The actual footage was of Sammy L. Davis receiving the medal. Again, the special effects team put Hanks’ head where Davis’ had been.
