18. Carrie Ingalls’ fall during the intro was real
The little girl who played young Laura Ingalls runs down a hill in the intro and takes a spill. It was a real fall, one the director thought looked cute. In fairness, if one is gonna take a spill on camera, it had better make the show, as in, “I’m killing myself out here for you people!”
17. Landon was short
At 5’9”, Landon was the average height for adult males and his reputation was for being a humble man. But, to make sure he stood taller than anyone else, he wore four-inch heeled boots. The extra height gave him a swagger that worked into his character.
