When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, Sandra Bullock sprung into action. She adopted the Easton Charter High School after the school suffered $4-million in damage from the hurricane. In 2013, the People’s Choice Awards handed her the Favorite Humanitarian Award.
