The Island of Bali
The island of Bali is tiny, but the energy and activities could fill weeks of travel. The island itself is a little like Australia, with inhabitants pushed to the coasts, so some travel planning in advance is wise. In South Bali, one has access to all the amenities and travel services. Some parts of the island, like in West Bali, are only accessible with good four-wheel-drive. The other parts of the island are huge draws for surfers. It’s a mecca for the sport, but also for SCUBA. There are several offshore wrecks, perfect for exploring in the clear ocean waters surrounding Bali. Even better, unlike the other islands which are generally expensive, Bali is cheap. As long as you can afford the ticket to travel, staying in Bali is easy on a shoestring budget. Those with a tiny extra cash will enjoy extras like daily full body massages. Yeah, read that last line again.
