Firefighters Who Attended a Child’s Birthday Party
The first part of this story stinks. Nobody showed up to Glenn Buratti’s 6th birthday party. His mom, Ashlee, had to tell her heartbroken child that there would be no party. Glenn suffered from epilepsy and a mild form of autism. Then she took her pain to Facebook. “I know this might be something silly to rant about, but my heart is breaking for my son,” she posted on a local community page. “We invited his whole class (16 kids) over for his 6th birthday party today. Not one kid came.” Within minutes, her inbox flooded with people wanting to come over. They rescheduled the party for Sunday. In addition to the 25 parents and 15 kids who showed up, Osceola County Sheriff’s Department flew overhead in a helicopter. Then the fire department showed up. After a hiccup, it turned out to be the best birthday ever for Glenn, one he’d never forget.
